Granulocyte transfusion: indications and constraints

Summary : In spite of the advance and evolution of therapy in treating hemopathies infectious complications, granulocyte concentrates transfusion therapy is a rare transfusion which keeps undisputable indications. Its use requires to respect a number of specific constraints both regulation and in practice. The mobilization, the organization and the coordination of all actors is obligatory. Controversial because of its efficiency and potential adverse effects, it sometimes remains the only therapeutic hope for patients.
